The Social Dinner
The social dinner will take place at the Palazzina Liberty, an historical building located in a park nearby Milan city centre. Palazzina Liberty is famous for its beautiful art nouveau facade and decorative patterns in ceramic. Designed in 1908 by architect Alberto Migliorini, the Palazzina was located inside the historical fruit and vegetable city market, and was used as a café and meeting point for negotiations between traders of the field.
The building is now the headquarters of the Civic Orchestra (Civica Orchestra di Fiati) and of the House of Poetry (Casa della Poesia), and regularly hosts concerts, meetings, conferences, fashion shows, theater performances and cultural events of various kinds.

Nine Colors in Nine Movements
During the dinner, OLKC 2015 offers an amazing artistic experience that involves all the five senses.The special event is an authentic example of authorship, in which a painter and scenographer (Gabriele Amadori), a pianist (Stefano Battaglia) and a percussionist (Michele Battaglia) interact to create a full sensorial experience. The artists speak each other with their instruments, creating chromatic and tonal improvised fragments that gradually transform the initial shape in a succession of amazing visual metamorphosis. The three artists have developed in years a deep artistic symbiosis, reaching a creative level unique in its kind, witnessed by the success of their previous performances at the Veneto Jazz, the Milan Blue Note, the Terni Jazz Festival, just to mention some.
What is special in this performance is that the link between painting and music is not only embodied in the chromatic metamorphoses, but also in the physical gestures and movements that are performed by the painter. The synergy between time and space allows a visual interpretation of the world of music, and generates the same tension of contemplating a landscape or an abstract composition.

b) Milano seen through 13 years old eyes (April, 11)
OLKC 2015 offers you a special tour of Milan where you’ll have the opportunity see the city through the eyes of 13 years old kids! Children are not only users but also authors of their local culture and they have the ability and power to transmit and transform it… For this reason OLKC2015, in collaboration with Polis Fuoriclasse Association, will present an original experience inside the culture of Milan.
The tour will take place on April, 11, after the closure of conference, and it is offered to whom might be interested. The experience consists in an walking discovery of Milan attractions guided by children of 13 years old (supported by university students), who will narrate stories and mysteries about important monuments and places.
The tour will start at 7 pm and will include the explanation of Teatro la Scala, the Duomo, Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, Piazza Mercanti and Colonne di San Lorenzo. The itinerary will end in a typical restaurant of Milan the Trattoria Milanese where the children will tell you the origin of the plates.
